How does one convert to Hinduism, especially Islam and Christianity?

Though there's no concept of conversion into Hinduism or away from Hinduism, but still, as per the present circumstance, In order to change your religion, you may visit the local priest of the temple or any other prominent temple and go for it. Institutes like Arya Samaj also perform conversions. You may visit them. Before that, just know about Hinduism. Hinduism is basically a DHARMA not a religion; in a sense what we mean is ordinary by a religion. You can change your religion but not your Dharma. Religion is an Abrahamic concept that defines a set of rules which you are bound to follow blindly. But Dharma means duty, an act of righteousness; for eg: pitree dharama, matree Dharma. Actually, I could not find an exact word in English which means Dharama. Dharma is a very complex term discussed in many ancient texts of Hindutva eg: Ramayana, Mahabharata, Srimad Bhagavad-Gita, Puranas, etc. So, to convert to Hinduism what you've to do is: 1. You've to accept freedom instead of bondage. You've to see a complete truth instead of the distorted one. You've to accept or consider all the dimensions of truth. Yeah, you heard it right. For Eg: You've to accept that, there is one truth but there may be various ways to reach there.‌ Nothing is gonna happen if you won't worship God five times a day. You may do it a number of times, as per your desires.‌ You've to accept that life can't be governed by only a given set of rules. At some point in time, you've to break that rules for good purpose & for the welfare of society. Don't be a bigot or fanatic, that you are best or your religious practices or what you are doing is best, it may be ethically wrong. Accept it.‌ God is not any ordinary person attached to lust & materialistic things & is hungry for wealth, power & prestige. He has created the world along with all the other species. He is not brutal. He will not punish others(i.e., Hindus or anyone not following Islam), only because you don't follow a particular belief(of paigambar) which itself consist of a lot of drawbacks. If you are kind, help the poor, do social work, and possess humanity; you'll be rewarded irrespective of your beliefs. No need to worship at a given specific time. You can do it, any time as per your wish purely.‌ You don't need to worship by using a loudspeaker, If you are praying with a true heart, it's enough. God will be near you. God is within you.‌ Nothing is going to happen, even if you don't follow your religion, don't put a beard, don't wear any burka, and don't do any religious practices. You won't be punished for it.‌ You've to accept that, God has not created the world at least 1400 years, before (when Islam has taken birth) or at the time of the birth of Christianity. The Earth is there, the world is there, the life is there from millions of years, & it's true, that the things or rules or beliefs which are new have lots of drawbacks & it needs to be revived.‌ Now, you don't need to hide or tell a lie about your religion: From a religious perspective too, you'll find that all the people on the Earth are more or less Hindus now or at least at some point in time. For Eg: English came here, ruled & gone, you'll rarely find any English here. Similarly, Mughals came here, ruled & gone, you'll rarely find any Muslims here. What you see here in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh & south Asia, are none other than the Hindus. In addition what Mughals, especially Aurangajeb have done is, converted millions of Hindus to follow Islam. Perhaps, that's why, Indian Muslims always have a soft corner for Hindus; as they know, their ancestors were Hindus & were forced to adopt this Abrahamic religion Even if you don't believe in any God, then also it's fine. Nothing is gonna happen. If you want to worship a statue, it's okay. If you want to worship a formless God, it's fine; even if you want to be an atheist then also it's perfectly fine. All of them are accepted in Hinduism. You may think about how broad is the concept of Hinduism. It is the most liberal, scientific & secular. This is the beauty of Hinduism. You don't have to remain in bondage. Dharma (Religion) provides freedom & self-realization to the person. But what is it, If it forces you to remain in bondage & has to accept the distorted truth? It makes you so bigot that you can't question, anything, even if it is ethically wrong!! 2. Some of the things you can do more are: You may change your name but it's not required, but to follow Dharma it's necessary that, It should be auspicious and create happiness. You may take the names of Gods, Rishis, Munis, and Sages or something pleasing which can inspire you throughout your life to follow Dharma. Legally, you may Declare through an affidavit, to be published in newspapers. Then change your other documents. Principle of Hinduism 1. There is God, he is present in all beings, Therefore do not hurt anyone 2. Soul is eternal- immortal, it is neither male nor female. 3. One gets Birth due to unfulfilled desires and as per Karma done in the past life 3. What matters here is: You have to be kind here. You should follow the path of Dharma, and choose paths having minimum hurt to someone. Prefer Vegetarian food. If you can't, then try to give the animals, minimum pain (Although this is also not acceptable, but this is the thing you can do at the most, if you can't avoid non-vegetarian food completely). Islam is an Abrahamic religion & that's why there are lots of drawbacks in it. I'm not gonna list, you may search on your own. Search & find yourself & make your own opinion. This is the basics of Hinduism, that it won't force anyone for anything as such. You'll get results from what you're doing now & in your lifetime. What you are getting now is also the result of your deeds of the past or your previous birth. No need to follow any rules blindly, you can question upon it. If you will be right from all the perspectives (Although it's a rare case then also) then the rules might change. For Eg: if you find any rules which are made in a way that it hampers the right of women, children, olds; then be sure it will be changed( although there are no such rules if you encounter any). Even for God, you have a right to choose. In which form do you want to worship God because the paths may be many but all of them reach the same place to the supreme being. This is the most liberal Dharma, where you won't have any types of bondage. You'll get results of Karma, as the results of your deeds & it absolutely never forgives anyone, irrespective of whoever you are. You'll get the results of your deeds, whether at the end of the day, up to the end of life, in the next birth, in the next, next, next, and so on. But you'll get its result, this is for sure. Even if you're not following Hinduism, then also you've to face Karma, as it is the truth of life. This is the thing that matters most. Your Karma will decide almost everything. After that: Just study the books. Again, there is no single book like Quran or Bible. There are lots of books over here & from all the fields including religion, politics, Dharma, medicines, Science, Universe, sex, love & regarding everything, you'll find separate books. ( Although millions of it have been destroyed by invaders, then also still there are millions of books available). Even if you are non-believers, then also you can read it, there is only about your improvement, your life & so on. The religious books you'll find here is not any set of rules, (where you may feel boredom & are also not religious in a sense) but these are philosophical book in a real sense; where you'll find how to live a life, how to tackle a difficult situation of life, what to do & what not in a dilemma. Here, you'll know, how you've taken birth, why you've taken birth, what will happen after birth & most importantly who you are. You may read The Bhagavad Gita, The Ramayana, The Mahabharata (The largest epic of the world), The Vedas, The Upnishads & there are many. A lot of evidences have already been found even for 5000 years before, 8000 years before, 10000 years before & from such a time where no religion was in existence. That's why it has been discussed, thoroughly revised, analyzed from generation to generation & is present in it's the best form. The Hindus have already calculated the age of the universe, the distance of sun, moon, etc. from the Earth; the diameter of the Sun, moon, etc. has already been found. The concept of zeros, the most advanced theory, the theory of relativity; black hole; the concept of the parallel universe has already been discovered much before then western civilization came into existence. All the medicines of humans including cataract surgery & plastic surgery find its existence which is not easy even now. They have cured the diseases of Humans along with plants & animals. The songs, dance which can produce rain, can create storms, can heal the pain of different species was there. Sam Veda describes about these songs in much detailed manner. In the past, India was the largest repository of wealth vz. gold, diamond; weapons, spices, knowledge, spirituality & wisdom. The people from all over the world came here. Our Epics also describes the types of weapons which are much more advanced & powerful than today's atom bomb!! Even, today too when you look at the old temple, you'll find how much knowledge it would require to form such a temple. Some temples are carved of a single rock. Even today to cut a large mountain to form a temple is almost impossible & to cut it precisely is next to impossible. Even after breaking of lakhs of temples by Islamic invaders, still, the old temples which are made is highly mysterious in this 21st century. Perhaps, they've understand the pace of nature. Everything, therefore, is designed in a manner so as to prevent & protect the environment along with the best utilization of resources All the four oldest Universities in the world all were in India. The oldest library, Nalanda University's library, Dharma Kunj was a repository of millions of books; The Islamic invaders when burnt it out of jealousy then it had taken almost 3–6 months to completely burnt out. Had it be there, the Indians would have reached at the moon, much earlier than the world even think of. Here you'll see the true forms of God, as unlike earlier you are not told, that God is great, but you are shown how and why the God is Great. You don't have to blindly believe that God is formless, but you have been shown how complicated is the forms of God in reality. If you want to worship, then you may worship, the supreme being and can perform Yoga, Dhyan. It'll make your body and soul free from all types of lust. If you want to be free from the cycles of birth and death, then you have to be very stick to Dharma. None of them will teach you, hatred or how to react to people of other religions. The most apparent reason is that Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism) flourished at a time when there was hardly any known competitive religion. Further, this religion is quite liberal and doesn't even care if the reader adheres to the philosophy or not. There is less focus on the description of God, but more focus on the ways to realize God. Its basically unparalleled divine philosophy, plus it is highly compatible for coexistence in a diverse society in this century.
