Astrology is it scientific?

Rewritten Article: The lost scientific knowledge and advancements of our ancient Vedic civilization are a regrettable reality. Despite the modern inventions and progress we boast about, it is undeniable that the Vedic people were more advanced and knowledgeable than our present generation in every aspect. They possessed sophisticated sciences and technologies that surpass what we have today, including the subtler sciences. One such lost science is astrology. While present-day scholars argue that there is no concrete evidence to consider astrology a science, the absence of evidence does not imply its non-existence. Our inability to perceive or discover evidence is a limitation of our knowledge and understanding. The ancient Hindus were so advanced in astronomy that they understood the influence of planets and stars on individuals and earthly matters. They had connections with beings in other universes and even explored those realms. In contrast, we are still in the process of understanding our own solar system, sending spacecraft to nearby planets. Hence, it is not surprising that our current scholars and scientists struggle to find evidence for the science of astrology. Astrology was not devised by ordinary people like us. Great sages such as Parasara, Brigu, and Jaimini wrote books on astrology, and they were no ordinary sages. Their intellectual prowess far surpassed ours, and their statements held deeper logic, even if we struggle to comprehend it. Our lack of understanding is a result of the intellectual gap between them and us. We should not doubt their wisdom when we fail to grasp their teachings, but rather make an effort to understand. Losing faith or disbelief is not the right approach. Astrology is not baseless; it is applied astronomy. Even the eminent scientist Sir Isaac Newton firmly believed in astrology and wrote books on the subject. Could Newton have written about astrology without any concrete evidence? We lack a proper understanding of astronomy, but the ancients possessed the knowledge necessary to develop the science of astrology. Unfortunately, we have lost their knowledge, just as we have lost many other sciences. Furthermore, we are unable to independently acquire that understanding. The disbelief in astrology stems from the presence of false astrologers in our time. Unfortunately, astrology has become a commercial enterprise, attracting deceitful individuals who claim to be astrologers without truly understanding its fundamentals, let alone its secrets. Another point to note is that the daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly predictions found in newspapers and magazines are often superficial and not in line with Vedic astrology. Although some of these fancy predictions may accidentally come true, true predictions should be tailored to each individual separately. Group predictions may be possible in certain cases, but they are not related to media predictions in any way. When consulting astrologers today, many will make predictions, but only one or two might come true, while the others do not. This is because present-day astrologers lack proficiency in astrology. It is not to say they are entirely unfamiliar with the subject, but they lack a deep understanding. If an astrologer possesses only basic knowledge and attempts to make forecasts, they will often be incorrect since advanced principles in astrology often diverge from the basics. Unfortunately, the majority of astrologers are not well-versed in these advanced principles, leading to inaccuracies and raising doubts among the general public. However, the problem lies with the astrologers themselves and not with the science of astrology. Another factor to consider is that ancient Hindus had a tradition of writing only general information in books while keeping the secrets exclusive to their disciples. Thus, the ancient astrology texts did not contain all the secrets, as they were preserved by the gurus. To truly master astrology and make accurate predictions, one must learn the secrets from astrology gurus. In conclusion, there is nothing inherently wrong with the science of Vedic astrology. However, finding a genuine astrologer in today 's world is a daunting task. If one manages to find an authentic astrologer, they can gain comprehensive insights into their life with remarkable precision and certainty.
